I always loved writing. My poems often found their way into the local newspaper where my mother worked as a reporter.

Currently, I have a story published in OakTara‘s anthology Falling In Love With You (Oct 2012). That book is now out of print.

Stella’s Plea (Nov 2012) Christian Suspense about the abduction of a three-year-old deaf child and her mother’s struggle to find her. This story shortlisted in the Word Alive Press publishing contest (2011). It is filled with action, drama, and unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s available on Amazon as both eBook and paperback.

Emma’s Prayer (Feb 2016) It is the story of a teen mom who puts her son up for adoption but soon changes her mind. Is it too late for Emma to get him back?

Favorite quote: The best way to become acquainted with a subject is to write about it ― Benjamin Disraeli

  1. Hi Renee,

Lots of interesting articles on your blog. I love and post a few of my chapters there to get feedback from the other writers there; some good, some ok. Thanks for writing and I hope you follow my blog and link to my blog hop. You can grab the html code and place it on your blog and watch it grow as others link up.

chat at you soon, thanks for the contact.

    • Thank you for your comment Deanna. You will notice that I added a link to your site. I can’t wait to read your story. Keep me posted 🙂

      Until next time, God bless

  2. Welcome to my Blog, Southern Sista!

Hope to read more yours too. It’s nice when one can open a blog and find some good “christian fun” as opposed to some things that are a little off colour.

    • Hello Renée-Ann, from Renée-Ann! Nice to meet you !

This really feels strange. Wow… your blog is much larger than mine so I’ll need some time to read through your posts. Something in your blog roll caught my attention so I went to that right away (Kevin and Erin’s Adoption) probably because I’m working on a story that deals with adoption, but am now reading your 2 posts on Writing. Is it just my imagination or do we have more than just a name in common? Writing? Penpals?

In yesterday’s post, i mentioned a penpal from Ethiopia, with whom I had lost contact and then connected with him again. I emailed him last night but the email came back to me as unknown. I no longer have his email and surely hope that he too is still writing, wherever he is.

I look forward to talk to you again. Now I have to go read some more of your blog! Very interesting 🙂

      P.S. Where are you from?

    • You’re most welcome. I can’t wait to start your book.

I’ll keep in touch once the Living Christmas Tree is over as it currently occupies all my free time. That’s ok though, it’s so worth it.

Oh, do you mind if i put a link to your site/book in my blog?

    • Hi Crystal, and thanks for your comment. Yes I think I remember your name from the March of Madness event. There are so many people there, though. I’ll be sure to check your website. 4. Renee-Ann, it was nice to be introduced to you through the ACFW newcomer’s loop. It’s exciting to meet another Canadian author who writes suspense. I’ve followed your Facebook and look forward to getting to know more about you.

    Blessings ~ Wendy ❀

    • Good morning Wendy,

I just returned from Mt Hermon Christian Writers Conference, thus the reason for my late reply to you. It was great meeting you as well at ACFW. I do hope to go back this year. If God wills, I’ll attend MT H and ACFW each year. Wouldn’t that be something? Blessings always! Renee-Ann <
